Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra will be
returning for its new term on Wednesday 29 September in the lower hall
at Greenbank Church.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone, and to welcoming new members.
Our proposed rehearsal schedule and repertoire can be viewed here: http://edinburghchamberorchestra.blogspot.com/2021/07/edinburgh-chamber-orchestra-proposed.html
This is subject to Scottish Government advice on Covid:19
restrictions.
As
this will be the first time in many months that we have been able to
gather, we are endeavouring to put in place as many procedures as
possible that will keep our members safe:
- The halls are cleaned daily and there will be hand sanitiser available at the entrance to the building.
-
There will be a weekly sign-in sheet so that we can quickly contact
members should one of our number test positive for Covid:19.
-
For the foreseeable future we will be asking members to
bring their own water bottles or flasks for refreshments so that we can
remain in the hall during the break.
- We would ask members to wear masks in communal areas such as corridors and toilets.
- We will only be permitted to use the toilets next to the church office on the ground floor.
-
In terms of ventilation we can open the hatch into the kitchen and the
kitchen door out into the corridor as well as the door into the play
group cloakroom / staircase.
- We are
planning to proceed on players sharing desks as usual but we would
encourage anyone who is in one of the at risk or vulnerable groups and
is particularly worried about social distancing to bring their own stand
and we will endeavour to make sure there is enough music to go around.
I
hope that these procedures will be welcomed by members as a way of
allowing us to play and enjoy each other's company in safety.
