Christmas concert – Wednesday 17 December. Bach favourites and carols

Our annual Christmas concert will take place this year on Wednesday 17 December at 7.30pm in the main hall at Morningside United Church.

The programme includes Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 3 and the Violin Concerto in E major as well as William Boyce's Symphony No 4 in F major.

We will also be playing a selection of popular Christmas carols, including Hark the Herald Angels Sing! and O Come All Ye Faithful. Audience participation is warmly encouraged.

Tickets are £10 (£8) and price includes refreshments.

Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra starts rehearsals for our Christmas concerts on Wednesday 1 October, 7.30pm at Morningside United Church.
Rehearsals last for two hours with a coffee break.

Summer Concerts in Edinburgh and Crichton

Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra is playing two concerts before our summer break.

The first of these is at Morningside United Church on Wednesday 21 May at 8pm, with refreshments afterwards.

On Sunday 8 June, we will be performing our annual concert at the beautiful Crichton Collegiate Church, Pathhead, Midlothian, followed by afternoon tea at the neighbouring manse.

The programme for both concerts includes Grieg's Two Elegiac Melodies for Orchestra, Op. 34, Sibelius's Romance in C major, Op. 42 and the Adagio in G Minor by Albinoni.

Note: For anyone interested in joining the Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra, our rehearsals will continue until the end of our summer concert programme, after which we will take a break until early October.

March Baroque concerts

Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra is playing two concerts at the end of March.
The first takes place at Morningside United Church on Wednesday 19 March at 7.30pm and the second is at St Anne's Church, Dunbar on Friday 21 March at 8pm.
The programme for both concerts is Bach's Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor and Suite No. 3 in D Major and Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks.
Tickets are £10 (£8 concession).
