Charity concert a great success

Thank you to everyone who came along to our concert on Saturday 10th December in aid of St. Columba's Hospice. The crowd of around 300 people was in great voice, joining the orchestra in renditions of carols such as 'The First Noel' and 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' and even an impromptu rendition of 'That's Amore'! The lively programme, which also included two movements from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and Saint-Saëns' Cypresses and Laurels, was the perfect way to start the festive season.

Please check our Concert Diary for updates on future concerts.

New string players welcome

We are always on the lookout for new members. At present we are particularly interested in meeting violin and viola players of Grade 6 standard or above. The orchestra meets on Wednesday evenings at Morningside United Church at 7.30pm, rehearsing for two hours with a coffee break of about 20 minutes, so if you're a keen amateur player – or even if you haven't played for years – we'd love to hear from you.

Please see our contact page for more details.
