Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra: Autumn Term Cancelled

Sadly we have decided to cancel all ECO rehearsals and concerts until further notice due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. However, we will keep the situation under review, so please watch this space for future announcements.

Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra: Programme and Rehearsal Schedules 2020-21

All rehearsals are at Greenbank Church, Braidburn Terrace, Edinburgh, EH10 6ES
at 19.30 unless otherwise stated. The church is easily reached via Lothian Buses Nos. 5, 11, 16 (get off at Braidburn) and X15 (get off at Braid Hills Hotel), but check bus routes and timetables before travelling.  There is plenty of car parking close to the church but please take care not to obstruct residents’ driveways in Braidburn Terrace.

As ever we welcome new members, especially upper strings.

Summer Term and Crichton Concert CANCELLED

We greatly regret that, due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19 and social distancing, we will no longer be going ahead with our summer term rehearsals and the annual concert at Crichton Collegiate Church.

We hope to announce our 2020-21 rehearsal and concert schedule very soon so please watch this space for details.

Concert on Saturday 21st March CANCELLED

In light of the latest advice from government on measures to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus, the Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra has taken the decision to postpone its planned concert on Saturday 21st March 2020.

We will also not go ahead with our rehearsal on Wednesday 18th March.

Further announcements about rehearsals in the summer term will be posted on this site as soon as possible.

Spring Concert – Saturday 21 March 2020

Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra will be performing our spring concert in the sanctuary at Greenbank Parish Church on Saturday 21 March at 7.30pm.

The programme includes:

Haydn Concerto for Violin in G Major

Boyce Symphony 8 in D Minor

Mozart Symphony 13 in F Major

Tickets: £10 on the door

Students: £5

Children: Free.

Spring Term begins – Wednesday 8 January 2020

Edinburgh Chamber Orchestra will begin rehearsals for our spring term on Wednesday 8 January 2020 at 7.30pm at Greenbank Parish Church.

We will be rehearsing for our spring concert on Saturday 21 March, with the programme to include the Haydn Concerto for Violin in G Major, the Boyce Symphony No 5 and the Mozart Symphony No 13.
